Roads declared not to be public roads in a built-up area for the purposes of section 45 of the Act.
(n) The Knockalisheen Road for a distance of 65 metres from the boundary of the county borough of Limerick.
The Regulations exclude the public roads mentioned in the First Schedule from the scope of the built-up area speed limit prescribed by section 45 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961, and declare the public roads mentioned in the Second Schedule to be subject to that speed limit.

THE persistent failure to attract industry to Listowel is directly attributable to the inferior condition of the N69 road from Tarbert to Tralee, according to the three North Kerry TDs.
The strategic importance of the N69 to the economy of North Kerry was emphasised by the three politicians who pointed out that the inferior condition of the road has led to failure to attract industry to Listowel.
Mr Davitt said he hoped increased funding would be provided in 2003 for the road but stressed that there was a major difficulty with the level of funding available for national secondary roads in the county, which represents 13 per cent of the national secondary road network.

The need for changes to be made with regard to the classification of roads in the national or regional network is being kept under review.
I am sure this road is kept under review as part of that.

Phase I of this scheme proceeding south and west from the N7 and joining the Cork Road N20/21 at Rossbrien was completed in May 2004.
The Scheme will include four grade separated junctions; at Rossbrien joining the Limerick Southern Ring Road Phase I and the Limerick Tunnel PPP Scheme to the N20 Cork/Tralee road; at the Dock Road (N69); at Coonagh West; and at the N18 Ennis Road tie-in.
