		As an NADP dependent electron transfer protein, adrenodoxin reductase belongs to a group of NAD and NADP dependent oxidoreductases which constitute a large collection of enzymes that vary widely in their sizes, substrate specificities, and sequences.
		Hence we sought a putative NADP binding site by two criteria: 1) a sequence similarity with the NADP binding domain of the human glutathione reductase the crystal structure of which is known [16, 19]; and 2) a secondary structure that is similar to a βαβ fold.
		Yet, the presence of this consensus sequence in certain NADP binding enzymes which share no significant overall sequence similarity indicates that its conservation may be mandated by the structural requirements of coenzyme and protein association.

	NOAA ARL AIRMoN Wet Deposition
		With the end of the acid deposition decade, and with the cessation of a formal research program under the National Acid Precipitation Assessment Program, the MAP3S network was terminated by DOE and was eventually transferred to NOAA where it remains a program of ARL, constituting one tier of the AIRMoN-Wet program.
		NADP provides the routine monitoring required for long-term understanding of trends and deposition across the entire country; prime users of these data include ecologists, agriculturists, foresters, and power companies affected by Clean Air Act legislation.
		As with NADP NTN, AIRMoN-Wet samples are analyzed by the Illinois State Water Survey in Champaign, Illinois, and network coordination is handled through the National Resource Ecology Laboratory at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

		Caged analogues were surveyed under aqueous conditions for net NADP photorelease, while the UV and fluorescent properties of both analogues and their photobyproducts were assessed for compatibility with systems that rely on optical monitoring of enzyme activity.
