Besides fraternities and sororities, there are multicultural groups, arts groups, political and social action groups, service and professional groups, religious groups, sports and recreation groups, academic and professional groups, and special interest groups such as the Clogging Team, the Film Society, the Judo Club, the Equestrian Club, and the Black Finesse Modeling Troupe.

Bob Davis worked as a research scientist at Corning Glass Works prior to joining the NCSU faculty in 1972.
A principal focus of one of Davis' teams of scholars is the growth and structural, microstructural, chemical, optical and electrical characterization of thin films of wide band gap semiconductors, including diamond, silicon carbide, aluminum nitride, gallium nitride and indium nitride.

This is a very long standing project at NCSU that aims to provide a supported Linux computing platform to the NC State University community.
It is based on Red Hat products but does not have any formal relations with Red Hat Inc. This distribution seamlessly integrates with the NCSU computing environment giving you access to your AFS directories, kerberos authentication, campus applications, campus printers, and many more campus resources.
If you are a systems administrator at NCSU, faculty, or staff member you should probably look into using the Web-Kickstart system or getting your systems administrator to set that up for you.

 NCSU Physics - Harald W. Ade
H. Ade is spokes person of a Participating Research Team (PRT) that is building a Scanning Transmission X-ray Microscope at the Advanced Light Source in Berkeley dedicated to the research of synthetic and natural polymers.
This “Polymer STXM” team is comprised of researchers from NCSU, McMaster, Dow Chemical, ALS, SUNY@Stony Brook, NIST, and the Geophysical Laboratory.
He was also recognized by a Sigma Xi Award of the NCSU Sigma Xi Chapter (1995) and an RandD100 Award (1990).

We, NCSU SPAN, are still planning our action for April 13th with the Middle Eastern North African Student Association (MENASA).
There are a substantial amount of corporations that NCSU does business with that have invested in Israel including Coca Cola, Cisco Systems Ltd, General Electric, IBM, Lehmann Bros, and many more.
This will an opportunity to mobilize large numbersof people for a visible show of opposition to the war and to the other anti-people policies of the Bush administration.

The NCSU CDK can be used with at least versions 4.4 through 5.0 of the Cadence software toolset and is available free of charge as a service to the Cadence design community.
The original NCSU CDK was authored by Toby Schaffer, Alan Glaser, and Andy Stanaski in 1996.
Their good work has been sustained and supported by many others since then.

When: May 9-11, 2006, NCSU David Clark Labs, Raleigh, NC July 25-27, 2006 - AB Tech, Asheville, NC Sept. 26-28, 2006, Surry Community College, Dobson, NC Benthic macroinvertebrate larvae (aquatic insects) play key roles in many regulatory water quality programs in North Carolina.
These insects are used to detect water pollution problems and to determine if streams are perennial features, and are proposed for use in stream restoration projects as success criteria.This workshop will introduce participants to the basic ecology and taxonomy of aquatic insects.
When: May 8-12, 2006 - NCSU Weaver Laboratories, Raleigh, NC This 3-day course is designed for engineers to gain familiarity with AutoCAD and be able to use AutoCAD as a tool for stream monitoring and restoration design.
