ESPN is reporting that the NFL may expand the playoffs from 6 to 7 teams in each conference with only the top seed getting a bye.
That is one thing that separates the NFL and MLB from the NHL and NBA....You generally do not see a terrible team in the playoffs.
If the NFL wants to expand the length of the playoffs, they should instead have playoff series instead of just games.
