NGC 6960 (shown here) is highlighted by 52-Cygni, a bright straw-colored foreground star that lends itself as an eye-catching accessory.
The Cone Nebula is associated with Open Cluster NGC 2264, which is referred to as The Christmas Tree Cluster.
It was given two NGC designations because (in small telescopes) its bi-lobed structure gives the appearance of two distinctly separate objects.

 Online dictionary - Helix Nebula
The Helix Nebula (NGC 7293) is one of the closest planetary nebulae to Earth.
It lies 140 parsecs or 450 light-years from Earth in the Aquarius constellation and has an angular diameter of about 0.5°.
Recent pictures of Helix are a composite of newly released images from the ACS instrument on the Hubble Space Telescope and wide-angle images from the Mosaic Camera on the WIYN 0.9-m Telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory.

 Aquarius
There are two deep sky objects which is on the Messier catalog, the globular cluster M72 and the open cluster M73.
Two planetary nebulae are found in Aquarius: NGC 7009, called the Saturn Nebula due to its resemblance to the planet, to the southeast of η Aquarii; and NGC 7293, the famous Helix Nebula, southwest of δ Aquarii.
The constellation was immortalized in the 1960s, proclaimed the Age of Aquarius.

The NGC notes that it was observed by Harding, and describes it as "remarkable, pretty faint, very large, elongated or bi-nuclear."
Hence the description in the NGC "vF" is either incorrect or the nebula is variable; probably variable, for it is not easy to see how such a conspicuous object should have been missed by Messier and the Herschels."
NGC 7293 is not a spiral; it is also included in Class III [diffuse nebulae], where it properly belongs [earlier authors had listed in as Class I.(c) — Known to be spirals.]

NGC 7293, the Helix, or Helical Nebula, is the largest planetary nebula in the sky.
It measures nearly 13 arcminutes in diameter, thus covering an area of about 1/5th the size of the full moon, and shines at the photographic magnitude 6.5, which makes it also the brightest planetary nebula in the sky.
The film is not good in recording the greenish color of the nebula's central hole.

Gas-phase models for the evolved planetary nebulae NGC 6781, M4-9 and NGC 7293
Three pseudo-time-dependent gas-phase models have been constructed for dense 10 4 --10 5 cm 23 and cool T, 15 K clumpy envelopes of the evolved nebulae NGC 6781, M4-9 and NGC 7293.
The three nebulae are modelled as carbon-rich stars evolved from the asymptotic giant branch to the late planetary nebula phase.

 NGC 7293: The Helix Nebula
Explanation: The Helix nebula (New General Catalog number 7293) is estimated to be a mere 450 light-years from the Sun, in the direction of the constellation Aquarius.
At that distance it may well be the closest planetary nebula, offering a dramatic snapshot of a brief final evolutionary stage in the life of a solar-type star.
