 10 Discussion
Because of the supernovae explosions the gas and dust from the central region would have been pushed toward the outer region of the cluster, thereby increasing the density of gas and dust in that region.
The mass distribution of brighter (i.e., massive) stars in NGC 7654 as a function of age (see Fig.
Thus the mass function of NGC 7654 does not support the three component model recently proposed by Scalo (1998), where he gives a slope of mass function as

New improved CCD photometry have been obtained for the four intermediate age open clusters: NGC 7245, NGC 7062, NGC 7226, NGC 7654 and calibrated colour-magnitude diagrams are presented.
The time series measurements of NGC 7062 were too noisy to look for low amplitude variables, but we can conclude that NGC 7062 does not contain variable stars with amplitudes higher than about 0.01 mag.
NGC 7654 was found to have two potential variables, both good

NGC 7654: An interesting cluster to study star formation history
photometry in a wide field around the open cluster NGC 7654 has been carried out for ~ 17860 stars, down to V ~ 20.
The age of NGC 7654 is found to be comparable to its two-body relaxation time-scale; therefore this may also be a reason for the observed mass segregation in the cluster.

Small scopes are defined as those up to 6", big scopes from 8" to 10", and challenge objects are best viewed with scopes of 11" diameter and larger.

M52 can be found quite easily by extending the line from Alpha over Beta Cassiopeiae by 6 1/2 degrees to the NW to 5th mag 4 Cassiopeiae; M52 is roughly 1 degree south and slightly west of this star.
Situated about 35' SW of M52 is the Bubble Nebula NGC 7635, a diffuse nebula which appears as a large, faint and diffuse oval, about 3.5x3' around the 7th-mag star HD 220057 of spectral type B2 IV.
It is difficult to see because of its low surface brightness.
