  NLM Gateway Overview
It is being developed by the Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications (LHNCBC) at the National Library of Medicine (NLM), a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The NLM Catalog is an alternative search interface to NLM bibliographic records for journals, books, audiovisuals, computer software, electronic resources, and other materials that is available to users under the NCBI Entrez system.
NLM does not claim the copyright on the contents of these collections; the data providers often do.

 NLM Classification Fact Sheet
The NLM Classification is a system of mixed notation patterned after the Library of Congress (LC) Classification where alphabetical letters which denote broad subject categories are further subdivided by numbers.
The NLM Classification utilizes schedules QS-QZ and W-WZ, permanently excluded from the LC Classification Schedules and is intended to be used with the LC schedules which supplement the NLM Classification for subjects bordering on medicine and for general reference materials.
Geographic subdivision is provided for certain subjects in the NLM schedules by the application of Table G notations.

 Turning the Pages Plus
In creating our version of TTP at NLM, we have refined the original technology by using advanced 3D computer generated imagery, digital image enhancement, animation, illumination models and software programming to simulate the act of easily flipping through virtual books displayed in a highly photorealistic manner.
The TTP+ version of the Herbal was demonstrated to various NLM staff and visitors in Spring 2002.
The tape was given to the Deputy Director, NLM, for showing on his trips, and may be borrowed from the Lister Hill Center's Communications Engineering Branch.

 Health Services/Technology Assessment Text (HSTAT)
