  The National Lymphedema Network -Who is the NLN?
The National Lymphedema Network (NLN) is an internationally recognized non-profit organization founded in 1988 by Saskia R.J. Thiadens, R.N. to provide education and guidance to lymphedema patients, health care professionals and the general public by disseminating information on the risk reduction and management of primary and secondary lymphedema.
The NLN is supported by tax-deductible donations and is a driving force behind the movement in the U.S. to standardize quality treatment for lymphedema patients nationwide.
The mission of the NLN is to create awareness of lymphedema through education and to promote and support the availability of quality medical treatment for all individuals at risk for or affected by lymphedema.

Each laboratory participating the NLN shares the goal of establishing their facility as a 'center of excellence' for rare disease genetic testing in order to serve as a valuable resource for individuals and families affected by rare diseases throughout the country.
One of the challenges facing NLN laboratories is securing funding to ‘translate’ a test from a research setting to the clinical laboratory.

NLN (The National League for Nursing) develops admissions tests for both LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) and RN (Registered Nurse) Programs.
To register for the NLN test for admission to the LPN Program at Bucks, call the LPN Program Office at 215-968-8316 and pay the non-refundable $45 NLN test registration fee by check, before the registration deadline.
A special NLN administration is scheduled for the Upper County Campus on November 2nd only, at 5:00 pm.
