NNDB - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
NNDB, ostensibly standing for Notable Names Database, produced by Soylent Communications, is an online database of biographical details of notable people.
NNDB describes itself as an "intelligence aggregator" containing links between people as well as vital statistics, job history, religion, sexual orientation and a biography (including criminal record) – also crosslinked.
As of December 2006, NNDB contains more than 50,000 entries encompassing over 20,000 profiles of prominent individuals.

Back in the margins, Ware himself probably appreciates his entry in nndb, an “intelligence aggregator” operated by the drolly named Soylent Communications, which modestly claims to be tracking the entire world.
And nndb, too, it turns out, can be added to list of false promises.
"[nndb] mostly exists to document the connections between people, many of which are not always obvious.

FDA/CFSAN Federal Register 67 FR 12918 March 20, 2002 - Food Labeling; Guidelines for Voluntary Nutrition Labeling of ...
This was due primarily to differences in total fat content (i.e., 6 to 7 grams (g) of fat in Atlantic and coho, 4 g of fat in chum and pink, and 9 g of fat in sockeye) (59 FR 36379 at 36383).
The NNDB provides raw data that include a collection of statistical parameters representing either a single measurement or multiple measurements for nutrients in foods.
When the NNDB did not have adequate data for nutrients needed for updating the nutrition labeling values, we used the values in the USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference (SR) (Ref. 9).

The cereal industry has been an important data provider for the NNDB, with some data provided by industry and released on a brand name basis.
One of the most useful is the NNDB formulation program that uses SAS least square fitting techniques to estimate a formulation and proceeds with calculations of all missing nutrient values based on the estimated ingredient proportions.
As part of the NNDB Redesign, the formulation program is being validated by comparisons of estimated and analytical values for the same products.

We support use of the USDA NNDB and associated USDA SR for many nutritional purposes and recognize the USDA SR as the most comprehensive nutrient database in the United States and the basis of much nutrition software.
In addition, we used data from the USDA NNDB to establish nutrient levels for Chinook salmon in response to comments to the 2002 proposed rule.
Because of the lack of data for vitamin A and vitamin C in raw fish, we have based the values for most fish in the voluntary nutrition labeling program on data published in the USDA SR, which are mean values.

All of the arrays (items 5–8) for system 1 are read first; then all of the arrays for the remaining systems.

 B659 Project Recap
For both the retrieve set and the NNDB collection, we parsed the pages by stripping HTML code and performing the same modifications that were done to "clean" the list of NNDB names.
We kept track of each page that was associated with a person so that we could total the term and name occurrence information.
Additionally, we used the name occurrences to determine the similarity between name occurrences in the retrieve set and those found in the NNDB collection.

MOONBAT CENTRAL: NNDB.com: Leftists Launch Stealth Propaganda Site Disguised as a "Who's Who" Database
On its front page, NNDB.com describes itself as an "intelligence aggregator" whose purpose is to "document the connections between people, many of which are not always obvious.
Perhaps, one day far away, when David Horowitz does something constructive and stops trying to dedicate himself to using falsehoods, propaganda, unsubstantiated sleaze and blatant lies to smear people, he will then be worthy of a more detailed entry.
For the moment I would say that the NNDB entry is generous in failing to present more of the mountain of condemning evidence that there is against David Horowitz, Discover the Network, Front Page, Moonbat Central and indeed your good self.

The Notable Names Database (NNDB) is one of those sites with a chip on its shoulder and its tongue in its cheek, but it still contains useful information as an intelligence aggregator.
The site's intention is to explore the connections between people and explain behavior by studying a person's associations.

Yes, the pages listing every famous Skull and Bones member or every notable ever charged with pot possession may give predictable results, and even the revelation that Ann Coulter has second-degree links, via sex with Bill Maher, to fl porn stars Heather Hunter and Coco Johnsen may strike some as only logical.
But in the Dubya Nicknames page, the quiet encyclopedism of the NNDB proves itself an eye-opening tool of cultural critique—and a soothing alternative to the tub-thumping arguments of political bloggery.
