	NOFX - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		NOFX is a punk rock band from Los Angeles, California, USA, formed in 1983, by singer/bassist "Fat Mike" (Real name Mike Burkett), drummer Erik Sandin and guitarist Eric Melvin.
		NOFX's first release was a demo from 1983, produced by Germs drummer Don Bolles, which did not sell any copies.
		NOFX never matched the popularity of the other bands, but are among those who achieved some popular acclaim in the mid-1990s and still kept their hardcore fanbase who reviled other bands that were perceived as sell-outs.

		NOFX’s first album out on Fat was "I Heard They Suck Live!", 17 live songs from a show at the Roxy in Hollywood.
		When NOFX returned to the studio, they were aimed at making an album with more of a hardcore sound.
		NOFX’s first release on Fat Wreck Chords was 1992’s "The Longest Line" EP, which featured the title track as well as "Kill All The White Man".

		Here’s a funny bit of info: NOFX is the band that founded our fine record company and it’s only after we’ve been releasing their stuff for 15 years are we finally getting around to writing a biography for them.
		We finally asked NOFX frontman Fat Mike if he could punch himself in the face and “please write us a fucking bio!” and he eventually got around to writing us an uninformative drunken e-mail.
		NOFX was formed in L.A. back in 1983 and has released 10 studio full lengths, about 6 EPs, and a metric ton of 7”s.

		It seems that NOFX is content to pump out an album every few years and isn't really concerned with pushing their boundaries at all.
		I cant believe that NOFX is still releasing albums…They must be pushing 45 at this point…I remember buying White Trash, Two Heebs and Bean 11 years ago at a record store that no longer exists.

		This album is not the best nofx stuff, but if you only heard punk in drublic or hefe´s era you must listen liberal animation and ribbed,the best album of the pre-hefe era.
		NOFX new stuff is great, real punkrock, very poltitical and thats really good.

		I first came across NOFX in a friend's car almost a decade ago.
		Ten years have passed, and while they should have grown out of that phase, NOFX are still noisy punks and I still love them.
		With songs like "My Vagina," which expresses regrets over the consequences of a sex change, and "Theme From a NOFX Album", which contains the mature chorus "Buy me a Beck's Beer/ Or pass me a bong/ Gimme some Bushmills/ I'll sing you this song", the boys are still as stupid and fun-loving as ever.

		Most of NOFX's albums have wonderfully funny lyrics, but might as well have one riff for all the difference in the melodies.
		This is not the case with "Heavy Petting Zoo." This is the closest NOFX has come to making a truly classic punk...
		Most nofx fans would say that this was the transitional album fo the band and as far as the musical content goes for me it is just as cheesey as the rest.

		I know they are part of the punk hierarchy, have released quite a few albums and are well loved and respected by fans, fellow bands and critics alike.
		After listening to the album I'd have to guess that those Blink boys, as well as corporate punks the Offspring, have copped a note or two from the NOFX playbook.
		And while those other bands may have become more commercially successful, they come nowhere near recreating the intensity and power that NOFX yield on The Decline.

		Rancid can be heard ripping the shit out of this split with their versions of such NOFX classics as "Moron Bros", "Bob", and "Brews" just to name a few.
		Then, NOFX's punked up version of Rancid's feel-good anthem "Corozon de Oro" is one of the standout features on this disc, as is their reggae-laced version of Rancid's punked out "Radio".
		While NOFX choose to take Rancid songs and show them in a more NOFX light, Rancid seems to take the less serious approach and let down their guard a little bit to have some fun with the NOFX songs.
