NRC Industries is the only major manufacturer of recovery equipment in Canada and came into being from the Pigeon family who until the 1960's were general farmers in Sainte Madelcinc,Quebec,a small farming community about 30 minutes east of Montreal.
All of a sudden NRC had 16000 sq feet of building and a line of heavy hydraulic cranes that ranged from 10 to 40 tons.
The hydraulic tow truck equipment that NRC had been selling up to the end of the eightes were basically the same PHE units, and whilst they had been a great succes for NRC it was time for change.
