Nemain Nac Mac Feegle - Wyrd Miniatures Photo Gallery
True, for a Nag Mac feegle blue is natural but it sure ain't a normal colour for nemain :P Then I can always say it isn't a Feegle, just inspired by it...
I just named her Feegle to have it made a bit more sence to me as i struggled with the theme (I had a more fun idea but that one was to timeconsuming to pull off in the time I had as it included heavy conversions and multiple miniatures).
I'm not familiar with the Feegle inspiration for this, but that doesn't stop me from seeing how wonderful a job it is. I love the hair in particular, both the colour and the handling of it.

The Nac Mac Feegle are hilarious with their phonetic Scottish dialogue and their too-dumb-to-be-afraid ways, but it’s Tiffany who carries all of the doubts, who overcomes all of the adversities she knows should crush her, and who makes all of the interesting decisions as we watch her grow up.
She certainly catches the interest of Miss Tick, a witch-finder who is startled by the young girl’s witchy abilities which are strong despite the fact that Tiffany lives on “the Chalk” — an area of rolling hills fit mostly for sheep herding whose soft rock is said to be unable to support witches.
The Nac Mac Feegle first appear in Lords and Ladies (as a bunch of run-ons) which is about the 4th book in the Lancre Witches series.

Nac Mac Feegle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
According to their own history, the Nac Mac Feegle rebelled against the wicked rule of the (or possibly "a") Queen of the Elves, and were therefore exiled from Fairyland.
Nac Mac Feegle clans tend to occupy ancient burial mounds.
The fearlessness of Nac Mac Feegle warriors in combat is derived from their religious belief that they cannot be killed, because they are already dead; they believe that they are in the afterlife, and that any Feegle who is killed has simply been reincarnated.

Gnomes (Discworld) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Although Pratchett has made several connections between the Nac Mac Feegle and the more general gnomes, such as Buggy Swires, there remains a certain ambiguity as to whether they should be considered the same race.
In the Discworld Companion, Pratchett describes Wee Mad Arthur, an Ankh Morpork gnome, as an urbanised Nac Mac Feegle, and Paul Kidby's illustration of Buggy Swires in The Art of Discworld is indistinguishable from the pictsies on the cover of The Wee Free Men.
However, as yet no gnome has shown evidence of the Nac Mac Feegle's fairy abilities like the crawstep (the ability to cross into dreams and parallel dimensions), or of their bee-like social structure.

House Feegle (or Faighle, according to some of the older and more traditional--or stodgier, as others will say) is among the older of the minor Houses.
Feegle's signature weapon is the great claymore (claidhmere) sword, a long two-hander with a wide blade and overly large crosspiece.
For those wondering, the battlecry "Nac mac Feegle' comes from Nachton mac Feegle, one of the original Faighle's sons, who was the finest warrior in all of Chaos.

On this quest she is helped by the Nac Mac Feegle, these little blue-skinned, heavily tattooed, pictsies like nothing better than to grab their foe by the ears and with a shout of ‘Here’s a face full o’ dandruff for yer!’ head butt them with more force than a stampede of rhino’s.
Adult Pratchett fans will have met the Nac Mac Feegle in "Carpe Jugulum", this time their skin is as blue, but their language less so.
In this book we are introduced to the Nac Mac Feegle (Wee Free Men), who are very different to any kind of fairies you may have encountered before.

If you are a Terry Pratchett fan -- as, being readers of taste and discretion, most of you undoubtedly are -- you may remember the army of little blue pictsies whose cries of "Crivens!" lit up the pages of Carpe Jugulum.
Good news: the Nac Mac Feegle are back in action and have a whole book of their own, replete with as much stealin' ("Ye'll tak' the high road an I'll tak' yer wallet!"), fightin' ("Ach, stick it up yer trakkans!") and drinkin' (Special Sheep Liniment) as 263 pages can hold.
Though less than six inches tall, the Nac Mac Feegle ("There can only be one t'ousand!") are more than big enough to support the weight of names like No'-as'big-as-Medium-Sized-Jock-but-bigger-than-Wee-Jock-Jock and of swords nearly as big as themselves, which glow blue in the presence of that most dreaded enemy: lawyers.

In the minds of those who’d witnessed the act—the blue-skinned, red-haired, rowdy pictsies called the Nac Mac Feegle, or Wee Free Men and Miss Tick, a small-time itinerant witch with a lawyer-turned-toad as a familiar—such courage could only be the sign by a bonafide witch.
But Tiffany has no time for the training required to come into her full powers, for a realm of dark forces is intersecting the mundane, with more and more monsters suddenly invading the Chalk, threatening the entire countryside.
His characters are hysterically funny, especially the Nac Mac Feegles, as well as being uncomfortably dead-on about human nature.
