The large, horizontal one is called the Naha Stone, which legend says, was used during the ceremony to sever the umbilical cords of royal children and in testing the claims of royal blood in newborn males.
During the ceremony, the silent one was a Naha and prophesied to become a mighty warrior; the crying one was not, and was said to lack courage.
Although Kamehameha I was not a Naha, he was said to have overturned the stone when he was a young man. The stone is estimatd to weigh 3 1/2 tons.

NAHA, Japan, May 28 (Kyodo) -- The Regional Maritime Safety Headquarters in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, surveyed the waters off Naha airport Friday to prepare security measures for next-year's summit of the Group of Eight (G-8) major powers to be held in the prefecture.
Headquarters officials said they inspected an area with its center located about five kilometers offshore from the airport, which will serve as a gateway for delegates attending the July 21-23 summit.

The NAHA rules currently state that it recognizes Amateur classes.  However, we haven’t been keeping track of the points.  Is there someone else out there that would like to pick this ball back up and run with it?
They would join the board and their task would be to promote and keep track of points for Amateur classes.  If not, we shouldn’t say we will in the rule book and that statement should be removed.  If you are interested please contact Jordy Smith, Jeff Barger, or Kevin Bromenshenk.
A local NAHA representative could personally visits the promoter and talk about the riders in order to promote the value NAHa riders can bring to their event.
