  Nakagawa Kiyohide - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nakagawa Kiyohide (中川 清秀; 1556 – June 6, 1583) was a daimyo in Azuchi-Momoyama period.
Nakagawa Hidemasa and Nakagawa Hidenari were his sons.
At first, Kiyohide served Ikeda Katsumasa, who was from a powerful clan at Settsu Province.

 The Oda Generals
Kiyohide was a retainer of Nobunaga under Araki Murashige and originally held Ibaragi in Settsu Province.
Both Kiyohide and Ukon were convinced to surrender their castles to the Oda and kept their holdings in the aftermath of the rebellion.
Nakagawa joined Hideyoshi's army following the death of Nobunaga in 1582 and fought at the Battle of Yamazaki.

In late 1582 Hideyoshi dispatched Takayama and Nakagawa to northern Omi and tasked them with holding two critical forts placed to block any movement from the Shibata down from Echizen.
Sakuma went on to besiege Shizugatake and killed Nakagawa, although he was unable to take the castle itself and in the end was defeated by Hideyoshi in battle.
Takayama went on to serve in Hideyoshi’s invasion of Shikoku (1584) and in 1585 was transferred to Akashi (Harima province, 60,000 koku).

That night Hideyoshi's general Takayama Shigetomo occupied the nearby village of Yamazaki while Nakagawa Kiyohide took the heights on Mount Tennou.
On the left wing on top of Mount Tennou was Mikoda Masaharu and Kuroda Yoshitaka with about 2,000 each, and Nakayama Kiyohide with 2,500 men.
Meanwhile, on Mount Tennou, Mikoda, Kuroda, and Nakagawa advanced and drove off Sobe's and Matsuda's forces as they climbed.
