From India, its proper name is the bagh nakh (references to it as the wagh nakh also exist).
The bagh nakh consists of a metal bar with three to five sharp, curved blades extending from the base of the bar.
The term tiger claw is appropriate because a strike from the bagh nakh closely replicates the attack of such an animal.

Languages of the Caucasus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The reality of the North Caucasian family is not yet widely accepted; many of the cognates that have been claimed between its branches may actually be loanwords.
However, it is now generally accepted that the Nakh and Dagestan families are related.
Since the birth of comparative linguistics in the 19th century, the riddle of the apparently isolated Caucasian language families has attracted the attention of many scholars who have strenuously tried to relate them to other languages outside the Caucasus region.

While it is an acknowledged fact that the Bats language belongs to the Nakh group of languages, there is no agreement on the Bats' ethnic origin.
They were in close contact with the Nakh tribes which resulted in a new linguistic unit.
According to other hypothesis the Bats' ancestors are from the Chechen Kist tribe, who moved south and became isolated from their kindred tribes.

Comments: Among modern languages the root is attested only within Nakh (an old borrowing from Nakh or some close language is probably Arch.
The Nakh and PWC forms, however, reflect a simple *c (otherwise PN would have *č, and PWC - *šʷ).
The reason is obviously a secondary labialisation in EC, due to the labialising influence of *ʔw (labialisation is also indirectly reflected in PD -m-, assimilated from -n-).

The Ingush People   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-16)
Chechen and Ingush, together with Batsbi or Tsova-Tush (a moribund minority language of Georgia), make up the Nakh branch of the Nakh-Daghestanian, or Northeast Caucasian, language family.
The split of the Nakh branch from the rest of the family took place about 5000-6000 years ago (thus the Nakh-Daghestanian family is comparable in age to Indo-European, the language family ancestral to English, French, Russian, Greek, Hindi, etc.), though the split of Chechen from Ingush probably dates back only to the middle ages.
The entire language family is indigenous to the Caucasus mountains and has no demonstrable relations to any language group either in or out of the Caucasus.

When Afzal's dagger could not plunge into Shivaji Maharaj due to the protective armour which Shivaji was wearing, Afzal tried to throttle him.
But the wily Maratha was more than prepared for this as he had come down not only with full armour that was hidden by his thick satin robes, but he also had with him the 'Wagh Nakh' - a sharp weapon resembling tiger claws that could be hidden in the grip of one's fist.
In addition, he had the Bichhwa - curved dagger hidden in the pocket of his waistcoat.
