		We conclude that nalbuphine in a dose of 0.2 mg/kg provided better analgesia and greater haemodynamic stability, as a component of balanced anaesthesia in lower abdominal surgery, with a lower incidence of nausea and vomiting in the postoperative period compared to morphine 0.1 mg/kg.
