Originally the Tung Chung Line station is between Tsing Yi and Olympic stations, but the MTR placed a Nam Cheong station between Lai King and Olympic stations as to provide aninterchange between KCRC West Rail in 2003.

At Nam Cheong you change to the Tung Chung line of the MTR (5 minutes connection time), and it is then a 15 minute ride to Central.
