Last year's industrial dispute at the Nambour Hospital construction site, which is currently the subject of evidence being provided to the Cole Royal Commission at its hearings in Brisbane, was a complex and bitter dispute over a number of very serious issues currently affecting the building and construction industries.
Today is the first time the Queensland branch of the CFMEU Construction Division has been made aware of the evidence provided to the Royal Commission and notes that the people making these allegations have neglected to provide this evidence to the CFMEU despite there being ample opportunity over the many months since the dispute occurred.
It should also be noted that officers of the Queensland Police Force were in regular attendance at the Nambour Hospital site during the course of the dispute and have not laid any charges against anyone, for any reason relating to the industrial dispute.
