NAMIBIANS seem to be at peace with democracy, but their commitment is found wanting in a survey conducted last year.
The survey says 70 per cent of the Namibians perceive a "healthy supply of democracy from their government" because 30 per cent feel the country is governed "completely democratic[ally]" and 41 per cent say there are minor problems.
The survey declares that Namibians have a high trust in state institutions such as the national broadcaster at 84 per cent, followed by the President (73 per cent), while the Police polled 69 per cent, closely followed by the army.
