Nan Tien Temple (Chinese 南天寺 pinyin Nan Tian Si; literally: Southern Heaven Temple) is a Buddhist temple complex located in the industrial suburb of Berkeley, on the southern outskirts of the Australian city of Wollongong, approximately 80 km south of Sydney, Australia.
Nan Tien is a Chinese term, which means "southern paradise".
The Nan Tien complex was built using traditional techniques and materials by Chinese craftsmen, but with numerous modern features.

A few days into the new year, my dad took Regan, Bre and myself down to Wollongong - about an hour and a half away from sydney - on a trip to visit buddhist temple, nan tien.
We had been there before, years and years ago and all i could remember was eating rice & orange slices with the monks that lived there.
What was mostly challenging though was *not* taking photographs, i always find temples interesting to photograph but always try to pay respect to the people there.

The Nan Tien Temple is a part of the Fo Guang Shan branch of Buddhism, based in Taiwan, and is a large temple representative of the Chinese Buddhist approach.
It was actually developed at the request of the former Abbess of the Nan Tien Temple, and is a short (10 movement) form based on the older Chang Style Tai Chi.
