Mission Specialist Nancy Currie operated the shuttle's robotic arm throughout the space walk, moving Grunsfeld and Linnehan to and from various worksites on the telescope and in Columbia's payload bay.
Currie will then lower the telescope into position to be latched to a special support structure in the shuttle's cargo bay.

Currie and her Robonaut companions assembled the truss several times, significantly cutting the time required to complete the task on each run.
To wrap up the test series, they simulated what would happen if a hazardous chemical contaminated Currie's space suit, with Currie using a special brush to remove the make-believe chemical and then handing the brush to a Robonaut to clean the places she couldn't.

Washington - December 7, 1998- Shuttle astronaut Nancy Currie was at the controls high above China where she gently mated the 12.8-ton Unity connecting module to Endeavour’s docking system late Saturday afternoon, completing the first major task in assembling ISS.
Deftly manipulating the shuttle’s 50-foot-long robot arm, Currie placed Unity just inches above the extended outer ring on Endeavour’s docking mechanism, enabling Commander Bob Cabana to fire downward maneuvering jets, locking the shuttle’s docking system to one of two Pressurized Mating Adapters (PMA’s) attached to Unity.
The astronauts also extended and retracted the docking ring on PMA-1, to which the Zarya module will be mated after it is grappled by Currie around 5:46 p.m.
