Highlanes Gallery opened its doors on 4th October 2006 and was the culmination of many years planning to deliver a dedicated visual arts space for the Irish north east region, of an International standard in terms of design, management and environmental control.
Their personal relationship with many of the artists in the collection enriches the collection and shows the strong bond which existed among artists at the time by providing a strong representation of the development of visual arts between the end of the 19th Century and mid 20th Century.
Nano Reid combined all the influences of her art studies, first under Harry Clarke at the Dublin Metorpolitan School in the 1920's and later in Paris and London to become an individual and expressionistic painter.

Nano Reid believed passionately in the preservation of Ireland’s - and particularly the Boyne Valley’s — cultural and historical monuments.
This latter was shortly afterwards dismantled by the town’s authorities, who believed it to be in such a state of disrepair as to represent a public danger.
However, the building was not destroyed without provoking a storm of protest from Reid, who on the 26th July 1958 wrote to the editor of the Drogheda Independent, railing against the proposed demolition and suggesting a subsription be raised for its repair.

I bought a car charger for my Zen Nano because it said that you could listen to music through your car radio while the battery was charging, but I can’t figure out how it works.

i'm saving for either nano or regular but i don't know which to get...
I could never have a Nano because I'm already way past the amount of music I can put on it.
