| | Naio Ssaion - Out Loud - Napalm Records - CD |
 | | Throughout out loud, Naio Ssaion’s Napalm Records debut, guitars and bass are tuned low, providing a delicious bottom end while maintaining pop sense on songs like “Teen,” “Miss You,” “n.ss,” and “Blah-Blah,” which seem destined for pop radio (if Napalm can get them there). |
 | | By contrast, tracks like “Shut Up” bring those deep guitars higher up into the mix, show off the talents of violinist Rok Kolar and even throw in a little bit of grunt on top of solid, pouty feminine vocals of Barbara Jedovnicky (a name that probably won’t raise many heads… yet). |
 | | I applaud Napalm Records for taking chances while sticking to what they know. |
