Naraku is basically the main-baddy of the whole damn series, who was introduced rather early (somewhere around episode 123, right?) and who continues growing in power, evading the good guys and being a damn conspiratory annoying arse who should've been defenestrated at least within a season from his introduction (as Onigumo).
He is after the same McGuffin as the good guys - the jewel-this-and-that - destroyed and sprinkled around the Inuverse in the beginning by mistake by the Main Romantic Interest.
Kagura, I don't exactly remember who she is, but I think she is one of Naraku's minions (actually 'spawn', parts of Naraku), rides around on a feather and gets underpowered pretty fast, but continues on for character-building sessions with her will for independence.
