Narathiwat ((A native or inhabitant of Thailand) Thai นราธิวาส) is one of the southern (The proper sphere or extent of your activities) provinces (changwat) of (A country of southeastern Asia that extends southward along the Isthmus of Kra to the Malay peninsula) Thailand.
The province is located on the shore of the (An arm of the South China Sea between Indochina and the Malay Peninsula) Gulf of Thailand on the (A peninsula in southeastern Asia occupied by parts of Malaysia and Thailand and Myanmar) Malay Peninsula.

NARATHIWAT Information Official, Mr Azib Useng, has disclosed that NARATHIWAT Governor PRACHA TERAT (ประชา เตรัตน์) said he was pushing a wireless network project in the country, in an effort to reduce the communication costs between the government agencies in the province.

Narathiwat's public health chief, Dr Sirichai Phattharanuthaporn, confirmed at least six people were killed and more than 20 injured, one of whom was a police officer.
As the southern provinces are under Marital Law provisions, the arrested people would be detained for seven days for questioning by the army in Pattani's Muang district.
