I read the report of his grace Gauridas Pandit das this morning, and noted a number of misinterpretations and omissions in his presentation of his discussion with Sripad Narayana Maharaja.
Gauridas Pandit das: "At this point I said that I heard Srila Prabhupada say that he wanted ritviks to initiate after he left the planet and it is recorded on the May 28th 1977 tape.
Gauridas Pandit das: Narayana Maharaja said there is no such thing as a ritvik guru and I replied that we don't say the ritvik is the guru, Srila Prabhupada is the guru, and the ritvik is his representative.

The Panchatantra was written by Pandit Vishnu Sharma between the 2nd and 3rd Centuries B.C. but the Hitopadesha came much later.
Narayana, the author of Hitopadesha, drew most of his material from Panchatantra.
Within a short period of six months, the pandit instructs the princes in the art of politics and worldly wisdom, by telling them stories about bird, beast and man. Each character in his stories becomes a vehicle of some precept, either directly or indirectly.

Though as yet we have not posted anything by Narayana Bhatta (1), who was a South Indian Brahmin of the Gaudiya sampradaya living in Vraja and author of many books on devotion and Vraja Dham.

So Narayana is so kind that although he did not mean real Narayana -- he was meaning his son -- but the affection was there for Narayana.
But his only credit was that he was chanting "Narayana." He was chanting "Narayana." It does not mean knowingly we shall commit sinful activities and chant "Narayana." It is not meant, that.
He did not know what is sin, what is not sin, what is Narayana, but circumstantially he was doing all the sinful activities; at the same time he was chanting "Narayana." This is by accident.
