King Naresuan the Great (1555 - April 25 1605, also sometimes called Naret or the Black Prince) was king of (A country of southeastern Asia that extends southward along the Isthmus of Kra to the Malay peninsula) Siam (today Thailand) from 1590 until his death in 1605.
Naresuan foght back against the attack, and in 1586 he occupied (Click link for more info and facts about Lannathai) Lannathai, a (A small neutral state between two rival powers) buffer state between the two kingdoms.
Naresuan died in 1605 during another battle with the Burmese, stabbed by Burmese soldiers in an attempt to cross a garisson's wall in Muang Hang.

King Naresuan the Great (1555 - April 25, 1605, also sometimes called Naret or the Black Prince, Thai สมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช) was king of Siam (today Thailand) from 1590 until his death in 1605.
Born in Phitsanulok, Naresuan was taken captive by the Burmese to ensure the fidelity of his father Maha Tammaraja, who became king of the Ayutthaya kingdom after it was occupied by the Burmese in 1569.
Naresuan fought back against the attack, and in 1586 he occupied Lannathai, a buffer state between the two kingdoms.

Naresuan, as a boy Prince, had been taken to Burma as hostage to ensure the good behavior of his father King Thammaraja.
Prince Naresuan, with his father's permission, attended as representative of Ayutthaya but he really wanted to keep himself informed as to what was happening in the Burmese capital (Pegu) as the new king took his throne.
So the Kingdom of Ayutthaya was left in peace and King Naresuan, with the enthusiastic support of his armies and people, had the opportunity to deal with other enemies.

Naresuan University's Health Sciences Research Institute has recognized this problem and, therefore, established the Heart Diseases Center in the lower northern area with cooperation from Buddhachinnarat Hospital and Uttaradit Hospital to help the people in the region.
Naresuan University wants to help lower the death rate in Thailand through the work of the Heart diseases Center which will conduct research and serve the community.

Thungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary (Thai: เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าทุ่งใหญ่นเรศวร) is a protected area in Thailand.
It is located in the northern part of Kanchanaburi province and southern part of Tak province.
