		Nargaroth is the most important name for the Germanic fl scene, the band started in 1991 influenced by the new-borning evilness of the Norwegian scene.
		Nargaroth’s music didn’t changed so much, again the same evil and depressive feeling was the dominant factor, in a dark vision of a forlorn mysterious fl power hidden in the fog of a sombre forest.
		The true spirit of fl metal is reincarnated in a band that, also thanks to the big names split, have reached a very important position in the reign of total darkness.

		Nargaroth is a hot issue in today's fl metal scene, some claim the man Nargaroth to be one of the last true fl metal bands around, others call him a liar and a poser, while others listen to pop-stars Cradle of Filth.
		As with most bands in today's scene, Germany's Nargaroth became well-known due to controversy, namely the statement 'a celtae hominis, pro celtae hominis', which as it was loosely interpreted by the media means 'by white man for white man' contained on the mighty 'Herbstleyd' debut.
		There are countless Nargaroth demo's, such as 'Orke' and early versions of the full-length albums, some which are apparently from 1993 (Black Metal ist Krieg) and even 1989-1994 (Herbstleyd), while long time members of the German fl metal scene have never heard of any of these releases and do not remember mention of this band.

		Nargaroth is a German fl metal solo project.
		According to Kanwulf, Nargaroth was formed in 1989, but due to contradictory statements of Kanwulf, this date is disputed, as well as the release of the seven track instrumental demo Orke in 1991.
		Nargaroth's first album Herbstleyd was released by No Colours Records in 1999, followed in 2000 by Amarok, which is not an album but a re-release of old recordings, as well as the controversial demo Fuck Off Nowadays Black Metal, (released as a demo resulting to disputes over production values).

		I don’t even need to tell you that a fl metal concept album about fl metal with song titles like The Day Burzum Killed Mayhem is bound to be more retarded than a Opel Ascona chock full of drooling, cross-eyed mongoloid vegetables, which I suppose are his target audience.
		The title is beyond ridiculous, the subject matter and lyrics appears as they were scribbled on a circle of paper with a crayon in a kindergarden special ed-class by an ADD-ridden four-year old German, sauerkraut-eating, inbred asshole with Kleinfelter’s syndrome, and the music does of course fucking blow.
		Nargaroth once made a demo idiotically titled Fuck Off Nowadays Black Metal.

		Those who thought that _Geliebte des Regens_ was too slow and plodding might have reason to rejoice, because (out of three songs and an intro) _Raluska I_ features two fast tracks; but as a whole, it leaves the impression of by-the-numbers Nargoroth material.
		The last track, "The Tears of a Man", does justice to its pathetic title, consisting of a lukewarm riff that sounds disconcertingly familiar if not worn-out, fast but absolutely monotonous and boring drumming and some totally unimaginative and repetitious rasping by Kanwulf.
		This material might have gone down a lot better if both EPs had gotten released as a whole, with a track-list that cleverly mixed material from both, but as it is _Raluska Part I_ is sadly only worth the money for die-hard Nargaroth fans.

		You're probably wondering about the dual rating I've given this "new" album; fact is, it's an indication of most Nargaroth material: if you're already a fan then you'll love it, if not you'd need lots of persuading.
		Being primarily a collection of old and unreleased material, _Amarok_ is all the more catered towards pleasing the band's small but hardcore group of supporters.
		Nargaroth is still an unbelievably underground act, and for those unfamiliar with the band, this one-man act lies in the realms of old Burzum (names like Mutiilation, Abyssic Hate, etc. come to mind).
