Four members of a family from Yerwada, including a teenaged boy, were drowned in the Sangam of the Neera and Bhima rivers at the pilgrim centre of Narsinghpur in Indapur taluka on Monday afternoon.
The bodies of the Kulkarnis' were handed over to their relatives in the evening after postmortems were performed on them at the civil hospital at Indapur.
They were cremated at Narsinghpur late in the evening.

JABALPUR: Close on the heels of the detection of anthrax in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur district, seven cattle recently died of the disease near here, a senior official said on Friday.
Samples of the seven carcasses were sent for tests from Lakhanwara village, about 45 km from here, to the Veterinary Regional Disease Investigation Laboratory, which found anthrax in them, Joint Director of Veterinary Services M N Siddiqui said.
Noting that sporadic outbreak of anthrax was noticed at times under humid conditions, Siddiqui said the disease was detected about two months ago in neighbouring Narsinghpur district and earlier in Hoshangabad.

NARSINGHPUR, India (Reuters) - Outbreaks of water-borne diseases were expected to increase among the millions of people in eastern India affected by the worst flooding in 22 years, officials and relief workers said on Friday.
Conditions were dire and some five million people were still marooned even though the floods waters, which have killed an estimated 600 people, were receding, they said.
While many areas were now accessible, army boats had to travel 12 miles to distribute food and medicines to people in some areas, such as Narsinghpur, 30 miles northeast of Calcutta, he said.
