		It is bounded on the north by the town of Sand Lake, on the east by the the town of Stephentown, on the south by Chatham and New Lebanon in Columbia county, and on the west by the town of Schodack.
		Burden lake, in the northeastern corner of the town, lies partly in Sand Lake, and is the largest sheet of water in Rensselaer county.
		Nassau is essentially an agricultural town, yet the inhabitants at an early day took advantage of the splendid water power afforded by the various streams flowing through the town.
