		Nastrond could be compared to Nagelfar, a wessel or ship made up from the nails of dead men.
		There is also a deeper level to the meaning of Nastrond, that is the seperation between body and soul (which also holds similarities to the meaning of Hvergelmir).
		Nastrond is thus a hall of seperation between the physical body, which is torn by wolves and Nidhöggr, the forces of destruction, that has to be there, that also gnaws on the roots of Yggdrasill, and by the non-physical or spiritual body that passes into Hel´s realm.

		NASTROND have been pretty quiet since `Toteslaut´was unleashed in `95, but now you can bathe in the fiery furnace that is `Age of Fire´, their second full lengther for Napalm.
		As I said, it´s the occult that drives NASTROND on and through `Age of Fire´you can find an abundance of lyrics dealing with the underworld along with Egyptian mythology and there´s some perverse sexual activity going on in the middle of the pamphlet.
		And altough NASTROND can't really compete with the best bands they had back then (ABIGOR, KOROVA, SUMMONING, UNPURE, first SETHERIAL) they are still far superior to almost everything their former label puts out today and surely good enough for a haunting listening experience.

		The story is set on the planet "Nilfheim", which is clearly based on Niflheim, the "house of mists", and one of the coldest and nastiest parts of the Norse version hell.
		Niflheim shares its level of hell with Nastrond (The Shore of Corpses), where the serpent Nidhogg eats the dead and gnaws on the roots of Yggdrasil.
		Yet instead of some dark Norwegian shore, awash in corpses, we find that Emily's Nastrond is awash in the depravity of the hugely obese, yet at the same time efete Nose Lord.
