 | | It is diurnal, scansorial and omnivore, feeding mainly on invertebrates and fruits (Redford and Stearman, 1993; Gompper and Decker, 1998). |
 | | Since females of Nasua nasua rejoin the groups when pups are around 5-6 weeks of age (Emmons, 1990), it appears that the birth period in the PECB is October-November and as, the gestation period is 74-77 days (Gompper and Decker, 1998), the mating season must be in August-September. |
