		Braun deserves the benefit of the doubt: false accusations are hardly unknown, and to be falsely-branded as a sexual predator — though a tried and true tactic used by some Animal Rights Activists to besmirch their targets — is an ugly but effective way to destroy a person.
		Braun are true, and for now I tend to believe them, that doesn't speak to any sexual misbehavior of others in the movement, however egocentric and narcissistic they might be: all sexual predators may well be narcissists and ego centrists, but all narcissists and ego centrists aren't necessarily sexual predators.
		Braun, if that is what he is, as an individual with an individual sickness, one found outside the AR community as well as within.

		If I recall the description of the incident correctly, Braun was "feeling up" a woman in her sleep with his hands.
		But it is unclear that the people in the Braun case pursued their legal remedies.
		It looks like Braun could not have been prosecuted for rape based on these statutes, because they define rape in terms requiring sexual intercourse.

		(Nathan does not recall the exact words, but he does not remember being informed of the specific accusation, e.g., about touching her “vagina,” until the GARC statement was released.) I don’t know what Nathan was thinking about at that moment, but his answer was not strategically wise.
