 WPI hosts NCSSSMST Conference
From October 24 to October 26, WPI and the Massachusetts Academy of Mathematics and Science played host to the 2002 student conference for the National Consortium for Specialized Secondary Schools of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (NCSSSMST).
Milde Waterfall, a teacher at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, in Alexandria, Virginia, said that the sailplane workshop was "the highlight of a conference full of highlights."
The conference, held at a different location each year, allows students from science and tech high schools all around the country to come together and share ideas and experiences.
