English Democrats Party :: England United
The English Democrats party was formed in 2002 because the New labour Government in its rush to secure national devolution for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, completely ignored the interests and indeed the existence of England.
As a political party we recognise that real Democracy is much more than the ability to choose, from time to time, between broadly similar parties which compete amongst themselves for power.
The English Democrats is a “young” party, having only been established for less than 2 years.

 Liberal Party (UK)
In 1981 defectors from the moderate wing of the Labour Party, led by former Cabinet ministers Roy Jenkins, David Owen and Shirley Williams, founded the Social Democratic Party.
A group of Liberal opponents of the merger continued under the old name of "the Liberal Party"; this was legally a new organisation (the headquarters, records, assets and debts of the old party were inherited by the Liberal Democrats), but its constitution asserts it to be the same party as that which had previously existed.
The Liberal Party was one of the two major British political parties from the early 19th century until the 1920s, and a third party of varying strength and importance up to 1988, when it merged with the Social Democratic Party to form a new party which would become known as the Liberal Democrats.
