Both the paintings are executed on cardboard, with a sketched version on the reverse of the one in the National gallery.
The odd thing is how The Munch Museum reproduction looks, for all intents and purposes, to be the one that The National Gallery owns.
There are two paintings, the National Gallery owns the afore-mentioned one, The Munch Museum owns the other.
