 Historic house is dressed in style by a blooming exhibitionist - National
The National Gallery of Victoria's travelling Akira Isogawa Printemps/été show is winding its way from Singapore to Manila and Bangkok, and his spring/summer 2006 collection is on show in Paris.
Isogawa is one of 12 artists, florists and landscape designers the Historic Houses Trust of NSW has commissioned to decorate the house and its grounds as part of the Art of Flowers festival.
Isogawa has shown in Paris for the past six years, and although exports account for 70 per cent of his business, he has so far shown his work in the low-key showroom format rather than in a runway show, which in Paris can cost a designer as much as $500,000.
