Conservation Management The areas are all in public ownership and specifically reserved for conservation purposes as follows: national parks and nature reserves under the National Parks and Wildlife Act, 1974 (New South Wales) and flora reserves under the Forestry Act, 1916 (New South Wales).
Conservation is the responsibility of the National Parks and Wildlife Service (New South Wales), in the case of national parks and nature reserves, and of the Forestry Commission (New South Wales), in the case of Mount Nothofagus Flora Reserve.

 Derbyshire UK - Derbyshire National Nature Reserves
The Derbyshire Dales National Nature Reserve is managed by English Nature and consists of parts of five separate limestone valleys in the Peak District National Park - Lathkill, Cressbrook, Monk's, Long and Hay Dale.These represent superb examples of all of the major wildlife habitats of the White Peak Natural Area.
Other habitats represented on the Reserve are rivers and streams (the water of the River Lathkill being among the purest in the country), species-rich scrub, heath on limestone, lead spoil, flushes, dewponds, screes, rock exposures and caves.
There is a level track at the east end of the reserve, with a stile and all-ability access gate at the entrance.

Ainsdale Sand Dunes NNR was the 112th National Nature Reserve to be declared by the forerunner of English Nature the Nature Conservency.
The National Trust purchased Formby Point in 1968, the Local Nature Reserves were established in the 1980's and Cabin Hill National nature reserve was declared in 1990.
The reserve will form a national base for studies and it is intended to establish a centre to take advantage of opportunities in environmental education discussed at the conference on education held at Keele University in March, 1965.

Insh Marshes Nature Reserve is an outstanding wetland of international importance covering 1,000 hectares of the floodplain of the river Spey between Kingussie and Kincraig in Inverness-shire.

 National Trust Visits Areas to visit East of England
Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve is a haven for rare wildlife and virtually the last remnant of the extensive fenland that once covered much of eastern England, with 18 footpath routes.
There are several National Trust-owned properties in the Sheringham area, including the highest point in Norfolk at West Runton, beautiful landscape and woodland at Sheringham Park and woods and heathland at Beeston Regis Heath.
