The New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service says it is not trying to stop people riding horses in the Kosciuszko National Park.
National parks' southern director Alastair Henchman says although input is still being accepted from the community for a draft plan of management for the park, the proposals being considered contain no significant changes to areas where people may ride horses.
Mr Henchman says a permit system is being looked at for people who wish to camp in the park with their horses, but the only restriction being considered is in an alpine area.
