 Bronze Alive - About the Sculptor
Kathleen is a member of various other art groups, including the Society of Animal Artists and the National Sculpture Society, winning numerous awards, including Medal of Honor at both Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club and the American Artists Professional League, in New York.
She is actively involved with the American Academy of Equine Art, being a Vice-President and Director of Exhibitions, and conducting an annual workshop of equestrian sculpture, under their auspices, at The Kentucky Horse Park, since their teaching programs began in 1992.
In 2002 and 2003, she also taught classes, in sculpture of the horse, at the Scottsdale Artist's School in Arizona.

In 2006, in addition to the National Sculpture Society Annual Awards Exhibits, January 14-February 19, the sculpture department plans to offer three special exhibitions in the Rainey Sculpture Pavilion to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the founding of Brookgreen Gardens.
Including sculpture, drawings, paintings, photography and graphic arts, this exhibition will include the work of acclaimed national, regional and local artists.

At 85, she was still active as Curator Emerita of Sculpture at the Hispanic Society of America, in New York City, and as an advisory board member of both Brookgreen Gardens, in South Carolina, and Sculpture Review, the magazine of the National Sculpture Society.
Under her expert guidance we toured Brookgreen Gardens, South Carolina--the outdoor sculpture collection for which she had prepared the definitive catalog (first published in 1936 and revised by her in 1968).
