The project is directed by Charles E. Orser, Jr., Distinguished Professor of Anthropology at Illinois State University and Adjunct Professor of Archaeology at the National University of Ireland, Galway (1994-2004).
He is the founding editor of the International Journal of Historical Archaeology, and has research interests in the archaeology of the poor and disenfranchised, and archaeological applications of social theory, including race and network theory.
