		"Native Tongue" sees Poison delve further into the bluesy ballad/anthem territory that made its mark on "Flesh and Blood." Gone, however, with the departure of Deville is the power-pop styling that defined the band's sound on their first three albums.
		This album is NOT from that, ummmm, idiom.

		The "Native Tongue" album was one that took a long time to grow on me. It's not a favorite.
		Although, after hearing this album, reading numerous articles on the band and watching the video for "Stand," there was one thought in my mind...Richie Kotzen did not belong in Poison.
		This was a good show to watch and it gives the viewer a good idea of where Poison was during the "Native Tongue" days and, yeah, I would suggest adding it to your collection, especially if you're a Poison fan.

		When I first listened to this album, I loved Glory Bound and that was all I listened to, I thought the other songs were either not so impressive or a bit silly.
		When I first listened to this CD I thought it was just okay but after a few more listens I have discovered the many intricacies this album has to offer.
		The refreshing part of this album is its straightforward musicality that always manages to hold my interest.

	Richie Kotzen - Slow
		I heard the name a couple of times, and I might have heard a tune or two by him once or twice, but he really came into the picture (once again: as far as I'm concerned) when he joined Poison on their 'Native Tongue' album.
		I have always had a soft spot for Poison, and though admittedly 'Native Tongue' differs from the other Poison material, the album was by no means bad.
		Actually, I think that musically 'Native Tongue' was their best album to date!

		Das Lied hieß Killing Me Softly, war eine Roberta-Flack-Coverversion, und zu diesem Wohnzimmer-Soundtrack dürften, per Repeat-Taste in Dauerschleife abgespielt, mehr Kissen zerwühlt, tränenbenetzt und beschnarcht worden sein als zu irgendeiner anderen Platte in den neunziger Jahren.
		Der Rest von The Score, dem zigmillionenfach verkauften Album von 1996, war nämlich nicht ganz so aufregend da gab es zumindest für popbürgerliche Haushalte nutzdienlichere und zugleich bedeutungsintensivere atmosphärische Platten, Moon Safari von Air, Dummy von Portishead, Older von George Michael oder Old Nobody von Blumfeld zum Beispiel.
		Dass sich mit dem Album eine ganz andere, regelrecht neue Band präsentiert, zeigte sich schon im Videoclip zur Single-Auskopplung " Twisted Tranistor ".
