Steven Bochco's first TV series to dramatize a war in progress captures the surreal nature of modern desert combat.
Thanks particularly to exec producer and writer Chris Gerolmo, there is a literary quality to "Over There" that suggests each episode could, with very little tweaking, become a powerful stage drama that probes such themes as heroism and how to behave humanely in an inhumane environment.

Despite it's emerging respectability, TV companies still found the series too off-beat for their mainstream audiences and repeats continued to be spasmodic and incomplete.
The series was certainly not shot in any sort of coherent order, but this is the nature of filming and production dates are of no use in determining a "proper" screening order.
All the TV regions showed the entire series but some shifted it into a late-night slot.

I must confess I don't really want Coupling to be remade in the US, because right now there are just a select few (how fortunate we are) who watch it and can appreciate what a great show it is. I think dumbing it down for the masses will spoil it's nature.
The majority of the shows that are on are not exactly our best shows.(That is changing a little bit but as you all know there are considerably more bad shows on Network TV) Some are indeed showing SITC, OZ, and SFU but that's just a couple of shows so it really doesn't balance out.

For example, in Game 3 of a first-round playoff series against the Bullets during the '97 season, Pippen disregarded a painful back injury and drove in hard for a game-winning dunk that left him lying in agony on his back.
Many NBA fans will remember Pippen's highlight reel dunks (his straddle over a prone Patrick Ewing is an all-time classic) or his defensive wizardry (hounding Magic in the '91 Finals), but countless less-heralded moments showed his competitive nature in even starker terms.
Already up 2-0 in the best-of-five series, with Game 5 at home if necessary, Pippen easily could have tried a jump shot in that situation.
