Following the Arab conquest of the Sassanid Empire in the seventh century and the gradual conversion of the population to Islam, Arabic became the official, literary, and written language, but Persian remained the language of court records.
Language and religion provide a strong cohesive force and give the Assyrians a sense of identity with their coreligionists in Iraq, in other parts of the Middle East, and also in the United States.

Whatever that language is, it looks vaguely Iberian.
Xerox's language guesser program seems to think that it's Catalan, although that program does have a fairly limited range (and Catalan has diacratical marks, which this mystery language does not).
Based on the similarity of "nauruose" to "nauri", I suspect this isn't a simple case of mistaken identity - whoever has written these articles has probably done it with the intent to deceive (although why you'd actually attempt to masquerade your language as nauri is beyond me).

In the Ramesside Period there exist two ‘languages of writing’, both learnt in school, with some mixing; however, the application in text genres is not very strict.
To disambiguate between either reading, the language system had the option of inserting the existential verb wn "to be" and the verb of motion jw, "to go" in a variety of constructions, which lexicalize past or present tense reference.
