  Belgium: Naval ensign and jack
The ensign reminds the White Ensign of the Royal Navy, from which was formed the Naval Force.
The three colours of the cross are the national ones, the crown is the emblem of the kingdom, the crossed cannons show the ensign is a military one and the anchors symbolize the crews.
The war ensign in proportion 2:3, with 2.25 x 3.375 m as largest size, flies either on the yard of the mainmast to starboard or on the Gaffel of the Besanmastes.

There are some reports of a Ukrainian naval ensign, jack and flag for the Ukrainian Border Guard.Flagmaster, 1994 showed the naval ensign as a blue cross throughout on a white field with the blue over yellow charged with the 'tryzub' (without the shield), in the canton.
The war flag (naval ensign?), jack, and flag of the Border Guard are shown in colour in the latest issue of Info-bulletin, 1996.
The auxiliary vessels' ensign (dark blue with naval ensign is canton - see Auxiliary Ships), as well as the rescue vessel's ensign (same with an aqualung helmet in a white badge at lower fly - see Salvation Ships) follow the same dual pattern.
