		The Polynesian navigators routinely crossed thousands of miles of open ocean, to tiny inhabited islands, using only their own senses and knowledge, passed by oral tradition, from navigator to apprentice.
		Celestial navigation systems are based on observation of the positions of the Sun, Moon and stars relative to the observer and a known location.
		Navigators could determine their latitude by measuring the angular altitude of Polaris any time that it was visible (excepting, of course, in those southern latitudes from where it cannot be observed).

		Well-intentioned developers who already use page anchors to skip navigation will go to the trouble to set the anchor text in the tiniest possible font in the same colour as the background, rendering it invisible to graphical browsers (unless you happen to pass the mouse over it and notice the cursor shape change).

		If there are five or more navigation links and/or other content that comes before the main content of the page then the skip navigation technique should probably be used.
		With headings navigation in a screen reader (usually the "H" key) you hear the section title and that is where you are; there is no need to press enter to get to the section.
