During the reign of Madakari Nayaka, the city of Chitradurga was beseiged by the troops of Hyder Ali.
The Nayakas coinage does not have anything special to mention as they are mere copies of KrishnaDevaraya's pagodas.

While moving a Constitution (Amendment) Bill, the Minister in-charge had given a categorical assurance on the floor of the House to include some other minor communities in the list of Scheduled Tribes, who have been called by different names in different States.
Since Parivara, Besta and Talvara communities are synonymous to Nayakas, Naiks and Valmikis, I request the Union Government to include these communities in the list of Scheduled Tribes.
