Essene Nazarean Church of Mount Carmel
The B'nai-Amen lived in and around Nazorean Temples such as the one on Mount Carmel and the smaller one in the Essene Quarter of western Jerusalem (now known as the "Church of the Apostles, or Cenacle).
The Nazorean abhorred all animal sacrifice and rejected, as forgeries and fictions, all Jewish scriptures that encourage such barbaric practices.
It was into the ancient and mystical B'nai-Amen Temple of the Nazorean that Jesus was born; as it is written: "He shall be called a Nazorean!" (Matthew 2:23).

And in his approach he is using a mental framework in which a distinct metaphorical sense is understood to be present in the verse, whether by intent of the human author, or, at least, by intent of the Holy Spirit, the divine Author of the text.
Behind this whole infancy narrative is the Allegory of Christ and of his Church, an extended metaphor which is not a fictitious analogy but is rather another dimension that has been instilled into the history of the events and the meaning of the prophecies.

Jesus the Nazorean, or "Iesous Nazoraios" of the Gospels, however, was already the focal point of the new movement, so that the name itself had to be eradicated--a task obviously impossible to accomplish by editing manuscripts.

Mistakes and Contradictions in the Bible
There are references in the New Testament both to Jesus coming from the town of Nazareth and also to his being a “Nazorean” – which many translations render as “Nazarene.” But in fact, they shouldn’t be confused.
However, there is evidence, inside and outside of the New Testament, of a Jewish sectarian group called “Nazoreans.” Most likely, Jesus was a Nazorean, and the gospels were doctored by people in later times who didn’t understand what Nazoreans were, but were familiar with the later town of Nazareth.
Understandably, they confused the two and thought Nazoreans were residents of Nazareth.

Matthew may have been thinking of Isaiah 11:1-16, where the promised messiah is referred to as a 'branch' (*nezir*), or confusing the religious order of Nazirites with the apellation of Jesus as "holy one of God".
There was no prophecy "He will be called a Nazorean." Matthew made it up, because it fitted his narrative and his preconcieved notion that everything that happened to Jesus was foretold in the prophecies of the Hebrew Scriptures.
There was a prophecy "He will be called a Nazorean.", but that prophecy was in a book or collection of prophecies that were lost, and not included in the canon of scripture.

Note the prophecy, “He shall be called a Nazorean.” This exact prophecy is not found in the Old Testament in this form.
Remember yesterday’s riddle — the Old Testament prophecy about the messiah being a “Nazorean?” The root of the word Nazorean is Natzor — this word means, “branch” and was the word used in Isaiah 11:1-10 to describe the Messiah (the “branch).
And thus, the prophecy, “He shall be called a Nazorean” is a way of pointing to the fact that he would be called a “Branch” while at the same time pointing to the fact that the Messiah’s home town would be Nazareth.

There was a split in the early Churches between the Jesus-James founded Nazorean Torah Abider- (Judaeisers) Synagogues in Palestine and places like Damascus and Antioch, and all those "heretical" Pauline "salvation by grace" camp of the Diaspora Greek communities scattered in the more Greek minded gentile-tolerant synagogues throughout the Empire.
Most Christians today came to "Christianity" by the Greek Speaking Tarsus-born "Paul" (a Roman citizen yet!), and not by "Iesous" (R. Yeshoshua bar Yosef the Galilean) who disliked the goyim as unfit for the Kingdom unless they were circumcised and took up the yoke of the commandments of Moses.
If you want to be a "follower of Iesous" today you must obey the Torah as he commanded---although you'd be hard pressed since you cannot obey the 613 laws a temple altar and priests to burn all those sacrifices you are supposed to do.

Re: Nazoreth vs. Nazorean   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-15)
The textual evidences from the manuscripts support the attribution (Jesus the Nazorean) I've given.
My suggestion was that the term "Nazorean" represents an Aramaic form similar to the one we see in the present-day "Natorei Qarta" group (meaning, "Guardians of the City.") The Aramaic root is cognate with the Hebrew root N-TZ-R -- likewise meaning to guard.
If Jesus' group did call themselves "Guardians" this in Hebrew would be *notzerim* and in Aramaic something like *natorei*, and could easily appear in Greek as Nazoraioi.
