Neal L. Fredericks (July 24, 1969 in Newport Beach, California - August 14, 2004 in the Florida Keys) was an American motion picture cinematographer, most famous for The Blair Witch Project, noted and praised by critics for its distinctive cinéma vérité style of camera work.
He was a graduate of Montgomery College and Towson University, and shot several films for students at the University of Central Florida.
Fredericks died while filming scenes for the film Cross Bones.

Fredericks' agent, said Monday the veteran cinematographer was working on a new film when the crash took place.
Fredericks first met in 1987 when they were students at Montgomery College Rockville, Md. He described the slim, blond-haired Fredericks as a warm, funny, giving person.

Never outshined by Hansen and Fredericks' visual stylings are the lead actors, George Foster as Joseph and Christina Kew as his love interest Anna.
Also, on the invaluable commentary by Hanson and Fredericks, it's mentioned that the movie was "in the can" for a mere $12k (thanks in large part to a film grant from Kodak which consisted primarily of a newer faster 16mm stock).
