		Nearco (1935-1957) was an Italian thoroughbred race horse by Pharos out of Nogara.
		Nearco retired undefeated after fourteen races and was sold to the British bookmaker Martin Benson for 60,000 Pounds.
		Nearco died at Beech House stud farm on June 27, 1957.

		Just my opinion, but I think the Nearco line is a great one for producing tremendous athletes providing there is no further linebreeding after the 3rd generation.
		Before the previous forums were shut down there was a lengthy string on the subject of TB linebreeding.
		I think we will see the Nearco influence for a long time due to the success of the Secretariat daughters (Storm Cat,500,000k stud fee, etc.)
